The following is a short list of recent publications (co)authored by Petr Kuzmic, Ph.D. A more comprehensive list is given here.
- Practical Robust Fit of Enzyme Inhibition Data
-
A chapter in Methods in Enzymology vol. 383 (publication date: April 2004) describing the application of Huber's Minimax robust regression for fully automated determination of enzyme inhibition constants, including the rejectionof outlier data points.
- Tight-Binding Impurities in Enzyme Inhibitors
-
In collaboration with researchers from Celera Genomics, we proposed a new rate equations that can be used to detect the presence of tight-binding impurities in samples of otherwise weakly potent enzyme inhibitors.
- Determination of Enzyme Inhibition Constants
-
In this Analytical Biochemistry article, we describe an algorithm for the determination of enzyme inhibition constants, suitable for fully automated secondary screening (dose-response determinations). The algorithm is incorporated in the software PlateKi and BatchKi.
- Complex Mechanism of Factor Xa Inhibition
-
Our colleagues at Yale University Medical School isolated a new small-protein inhibitor of Factor Xa from hookworm. In this J. Biol. Chem. article, we have determined an unusual inhibition mechanism distinguished by the following features:
- "tight binding";
- partial hyperbolic mixed-type inhibition;
- two independent binding sites for the inhibitor.
This paper illustrates a useful application of our software DynaFit.
